Barcelona apartments.
During the last few days we have had a high demand of reservation requests for short-term rentals of apartments in Barcelona. Hostal residencia Australia is more focused towards very short stays of up to a month.
For longer stays I would recommend renting an apartment not as an extra hotel facility but as a normal flat. To do so you now will have the obligations and rights stated by the Spanish law. It would be like renting an apartment back home. This is more serious as it is for longer terms.
Where to start looking for an apartment in Barcelona?
I would suggest not looking through private agencies nor newspapers but through sort of state organizations.
One which is very good source is the Colegi d´Administradors de Barcelona. An administrador is sort of the legal caretaker, accountant, ECT of a building.
This association of adminsitradors has a website where by law all of these professionals must place on this site apartments in Barcelona or in Catalonia that are available for renting.
Here is an example of a search. It is only in catsellano and catalan.
