Much Kudos to Chris Mathews on Hardball yesterday for completely debunking John O'Neal and his new Anti-Kerry book "Unfit to Command". Mr Mathew's took no pity on John O'Neal. Asking him if he was a Republican, Chris forced him to lied by saying that he wasn't . According to the Center for Responsive Politics,  Mr O'Neal contributed 14,650.00 dollars to federal candidates or national political organizations -- all Republicans. By reading the official Navy records, and with the help of John Hurley, a Veteran's for Kerry group member, Mathews shredded O'Neal's whole premise for his book and then threw salt on the wound by asking him how he could write a book like when the current President didn't serve a day in his life in Vietnam.

NEWSWEEK reports that George W. Bush, appearing before a
right-to-life rally in Tampa, Florida on June 17, stated: "We must always
remember that all human beings begin life as a feces. A feces is a living
being in the eyes of God, who has endowed that feces with all of the rights
and God-given blessings of any other human being."

Bush repeated his error at least a dozen times, before realizing that he had used the word "feces"
when he meant to say "fetus."

I mean a person can't make this shit up!

California Supreme Court Voids Gay Marriages in San Francisco

The California Supreme Court voided all same-sex marriages sanctioned by San Francisco this year and ruled Thursday that the city's mayor overstepped his authority by issuing licenses to gay and lesbian couples.

The court said the city violated the law when it issued the certificates, since both legislation and a voter-approved measure defined marriage as a union between a man and woman. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/12/national/12CND-GAY.html?hp

TSP Exclusive: Senator John McCain said  "We are paying a price for mistakes that were made." On the Imus show.

McCain responded to talk show host Imus this morning, when Imus asked Senator McCain:

Imus:"What's going on in Najaf? Is that going door to door, is that the way to do it?

McCain: "I think we have to now, but we are paying a heavy price for a number of mistakes we made early on after the quote "Mission was Accomplished". We also should never have let these people take over Fallujah, which is has become a basic sanctuary for them. We are paying a heavy, heavy price for not having a lot more troops over there of the right kind. Particularly right after the conflict was over. But we have to win this. God bless these brave, young people. They are incredible, they are the most courageous people that I have ever...

It seems that Senator McCain is being very critical of Donald Rumsfeld's handling of the war planning effort and the president for making a stump speech on board of the USS Abraham Lincoln.

What is errie about President Bush making his "Mission Accomplished" speech  abourd the USS Abraham Lincoln is the views that  Abraham Lincoln expressed in a letter that he wrote in 1848 to his law partner William Herndon. If you take out the word "neighboring" in the first sentence, it could have been written at any time in the past year: "Allow the President to invade a neighboring nation, whenever HE shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion, and you allow him to do so, WHENEVER HE MAY CHOOSE TO SAY he deems it necessary for such a purpose - and you allow him to make war at pleasure."

Lincoln then goes on to explain why the Framers gave Congress, and not the President, the power to declare war: " Kings had always been involving and impoverishing their people in wars, pretending ... that the good of the people was the object. This, our Convention understood to be the most oppressive of all Kingly oppressions, and they resolved to so frame the Constitution that NO ONE MAN should hold the power of bringing this oppression on us."

The emphases that I show are Lincoln's, not mine. Lincoln was speaking of the war against Mexico, which he considered was entered into illegally, and under false pretenses. The whole letter gave me an eerie feeling - a sort of "deja vu" in reverse.

The Republicans like to say that they are "the party of Lincoln." But they certainly don't agree with Lincoln about pre-emptive war.

Worldnet Daily and The Wall Street Journal slimes John McCain in an article by Joseph Farah: Why McCain defends Kerry  excerpt: Americans are supposed to respect Sen. John McCain because he is a war hero. But is he? http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39892

Apparently risking your life in combat and experiencing the torturous life of a POW no longer qualifies as worthy of respect or admiration from craven cheapshot copyboy pseudojournalists.

Filmmaker Moore Quotes Goss on Lack of CIA Credentials

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Congressman Porter Goss, President Bush's nominee for CIA director, could be his own worst enemy when it comes to making the case that he deserves to lead the U.S. intelligence agency.

"I couldn't get a job with CIA today. I am not qualified," the Florida Republican told documentary-maker Michael Moore's production company during the filming of the anti-Bush movie "Fahrenheit 9/11."

A day after Bush picked Goss for the top U.S. spy job, Moore on Wednesday released an excerpt from a March 3 interview in which the 65-year-old former House of Representatives intelligence chief recounts his lack of qualifications for employment as a modern CIA staffer.

"I don't have the language skills. I, you know, my language skills were romance languages and stuff. We're looking for Arabists today. I don't have the cultural background probably," Goss is quoted in an interview transcript. http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&;storyID=5944517

"And I certainly don't have the technical skills, uh, as my children remind me every day: 'Dad you got to get better on your computer.' Uh, so, the things that you need to have, I don't have."

You Can't Be Serious! McEnroe Hits Zero Rating

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Patience is the watchword at CNBC, despite low ratings for the cable channel's fledgling primetime lineup, especially tennis star-turned-talker John McEnroe, whose show has twice registered a 0.0 rating.

Since then, the 10 p.m. talk show's ratings haven't been all that much to write home about. It's failed to hold an audience from its lead-in, "Dennis Miller." And in recent weeks "McEnroe" achieved a mark of dubious distinction, once on July 27 during the Democratic National Convention and again Aug. 2, with a 0.0 household rating. The average audience for "McEnroe" hit a low of 39,000 on July 27. Monday's show averaged 66,000 viewers with a 0.1 household rating.

Who is Jerome Corsi, co-author of Swift Boat Vets attack book?

While much has been written about the identity and history of John E. O'Neill -- one of the authors of the forthcoming Regnery book Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry (whose links in the GOP go back to his days as "protégé of Nixon-era dirty trickster Charles Colson") -- little has been said about his co-author, Jerome R. Corsi, PhD.

Corsi on Islam: "a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion"

Corsi on Catholicism: "Boy buggering in both Islam and Catholicism is okay with the Pope as long as it isn't reported by the liberal press"

Corsi on Muslims: "RAGHEADS are Boy-Bumpers as clearly as they are Women-Haters -- it all goes together"

Corsi on "John F*ing Commie Kerry": "After he married TerRAHsa, didn't John Kerry begin practicing Judiasm? He also has paternal grandparents that were Jewish. What religion is John Kerry?"

Corsi on Senator "FAT HOG" Clinton: "Anybody ask why HELLary couldn't keep BJ Bill satisfied? Not lesbo or anything, is she?"

On August 6, Salon.com's Joe Conason documented links between Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the conservative online forum www.FreeRepublic.com. Conason noted that the designer of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website is Robert A. Hahn, a director of the Free Republic Network, a conservative activist organization affiliated with FreeRepublic.com. Scott Swett, who is listed as the webmaster of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website, swiftvets.com, also appeared on FOX News Channel host Sean Hannity's August 5 radio show to discuss the group.

Carville: "In the world of putrid right-wing pond scum, Corsi is one of the biggest bottom-feeders of them all
