Number of VOIP Users  (techdrivenlife) In the Cisco Asia Pacific Partners Conference in Australia, I was able to glean a lot of studies about the use of technology and network that will affect our lives.  One of the more significant statistics was the findings of Synergy Research that the number of VOIP users ( Voice Over Internet Protocol - a means to make voice calls over internet bandwidth) will rise worldwide from 8 million in 2005 to over 58.9 million in 2009.  That is seven times growth ( as in over 700%) in 4 years!   6:07:48 AM     comment []   trackback []
