Removing Oil Stain
I posted this question on RTCN:
Can someone help me with a stain. I was gridding a piece of fabric for
a friend (linen&silk in natural) when a piece of popcorn fell and put
a nice stain on it. How can I get the oil stain out. I put some soap
and water on it, now I have a ring. What can be done? It's mine now, I
just odered a new replacement fabric for her at Silkweavers.

Answer:
Straight dish detergent will generally take up a fresh oily spot. I
don't know it'll work on one you've already attempted to treat. I use
Dawn, btw. Squirt on a big blob, work it in with a toothbrush, and
let it work overnight. Next day rinse in the hottest water the fabric
will take (probably hotter than you think).
