The web is replacing newspapers. . .

In a way that's near and dear to my heart. . .in the comics section!

News.com is running a story today entitled "Digital rebirth for comic strips".

While traffic to humor sites, which includes comic strips, grew 20 percent last year, and attracted 30 million unique users, space in the newspaper for comic strips declined.

One of my favories is Bug Bash, which is created by a fellow Microsoftie

Hans Bjordahl.  You can check it out at www.bugbash.net

Podcasting and money. . .

One of the things that is continually being attacked from many angles is the prospect of making money from podcasting.

Now PodcastSPOTS has introduced a new service, a free podcast creation and hosting solution that lets users record podcasts and publish them in a few simple clicks and earn revenue

I don't know about you but I hope that as we try to monetize this medium we keep the barrier to entry for the enthusiast free.

Podcast of the day. . .

Folk song of the day

http://howandtao.com

Each day you can learn to sing and play a folk song!

Can you say Kumbaya, sure you can!

And that's your Manic Minute for February 2, 2006!
