I have yet
to read a credible argument that John Kerry made a serious blunder last night in
mentioning Mary Cheney by name during the question about homosexuality and choice.
The two that come the closest are:
- He made Dick Cheney look like a victim. Not that DC wears the
victim-status well anyway. Media hype.
- He spoke on behalf of someone he doesn't know. I agree that Kerry
went too far by speaking and making assumptions about Mary's value system. But the tone
of the answer was respectful and I don't believe Kerry was being crafty in trying to
prod at the Republican stance on homosexuality.

If you're actually someone besides me viewing this blog, give me a few days to sort out the feel of this thing.
My interests -- the topics I eventually hope to start hitting on a regular basis:
- Technology -- cool stuff, my experiences with it, etc.
- Software Engineering and patterns -- professional experiences and observations
- Music
Plus I'll probably start a personal/diary category on the side, mostly for my own benefit.

Can't sleep, so first blog! Radio seems like a well thought out tool. So far so
good. Ok...reminder to self to delete these early blogs
after I get the hang of things.
Random thoughts running through my head lately:
- Politics - the debates. Josh Marshall has the most readable coverage of the presidential race so far from the blogosphere.
- Tech - Podcasting. Dave and Adam are either on something or onto something...
- Java - pays the bills but still manages to keep me interested, mostly because of projects like Picocontainer.
- Software - IoC/Dependency injection. Sometimes Constructor DI just turns my head upside down.
