So just when the gate was about to go up, they blocked that move and filed a lawsuit against the homeowners, claiming the gate poses a safety hazard. The gate has since been installed, but it stands idly, not to be used until, or unless, the courts say so.

Pritam Singh, developer of Key West Golf Club and other resort properties in Florida, filed suit today saying the Boston penthouse condominium he agreed to buy at the top of the Mandarin Oriental is in ``chronic darkness.''
