We live at Oaknoll, a regular condominium association with a 55-plus age restriction. It is not an assisted living facility; as an independent living facility, it does not qualify for first-response priority.

The city of Carson plans to rescind a requirement that 75 percent of mobile home park residents agree to a condo conversion in order for it to be approved, bringing the city's regulations into line with an appellate court ruling and state law.

With work already well under way on his twin 54-story condominium and hotel towers, developer John Saca is still wrapping up important financial details, including obtaining an $11 million subsidy from the city and closing on his construction loan.
