Residents of a 180-unit Mountain View condominium who have been without heat and hot water since Tuesday because of a bureaucratic snafu on the repair of an aged natural gas plumbing system, finally got some good news today: heat in time for Arctic spell that's predicted to linger through the weekend.

While the covenants, conditions & restrictions covering homes in The Villas, including those not yet built, limit their occupancy to seniors, Potts said after the meeting that it is difficult and expensive to enforce the limits without a homeowner association.
