[Lead] Illinois Poised to Ban Lead Content in Consumer Goods

Illinois is on track to become one of the first states to ban lead in a wide range of consumer goods. A bill sailing through the state's legislature would extend laws intended to prevent childhood lead poisoning beyond products like paint to include clothing, jewelry, and food products, among other things.
