If only James had slept on the plane [Auckland, New Zealand]
We set off just as the first raindrops started, and were soon on our way to KL airport with a very nice Taxi driver 'feeling' his way down the road through a torrential downpour and tropical thunderstorm. In fact, our driver insisted that Malaysia receives no more rain than the UK, it's just that it all comes in 3 months!
Q What does a Malaysian child's seatbelt look like? A Daddy's arms
James had been fussed over by the waitresses in the hotel before we left, and it's strange now we're in New Zealand that he's 'invisible' again.

We had actually been wondering about the loud bangs during the past couple of nights, and had invented explanations ranging from James' pants to bits of building falling off. And then having driven through one, 'Tropical Rainstorm' was the sound!
The business lounge at the airport was superb, and even included a play room just for James. It had a tractor and colouring books, and Mummy and Daddy stocked up on free beer and food whilst supervising. And the World was good...

And then plane was full, and James didn't want to sleep. He howled, grabbed my glasses, pulled Mummy's hair, and generally answered 'no' to all reasonable requests. For 10 hours. And we've moved forwards in time again. So by the time we arrived in Auckland I was so tired I barely knew my own name, never mind what I was doing there (Looked good from the air though).
Somehow we found our way to our hotel here - we're right on the harbour, and even have another tower to look at.

Catherine and James are recharging their batteries, so I'd better join them!
