In a Van, Whangarei (Yes, that's a place)
In the dark, in the rain. Today has been an epic, and by 3pm despite being completely exhausted, all it felt like we'd actually achieved was travel half an hour across Auckland and pick up a campervan.
In an attempt to get a dinner James would want to eat (which he didn't!), we dined at Pizza Hut. It wasn't good... You know you're in trouble when the sign requests that diners wear shoes. We had a conversation with the village idiot, and James ran around a lot.
It was through no fault of ours that we ran out of runway - we were at Maui Rentals before eleven and were kept waiting for hours. Then it was decant all of our luggage to the lockers inside the van, and then on to the supermarket. We didn't actually leave Auckland until nearly 4, and our bus drives like, well, a bus.
