During MIPCOM there were lots of announcements and deals - and the one most talked about was Google-YouTube - everybody had an opinion about this and how it would pan out. My own opinion is that Google are very clever and will monetize YouTube's traffic and will do deals with every copyright owner that calls up to sue them. I reckon Google will pick up the phone to everybody that sends them a cease and desist letter and say - "sure, we will take down your content and hide it from our zillions of page views OR we could do a deal and give you a piece of the action" - I know what most of them will say. 9:23:27 PM  comment []
