Operators Crawl across cut glass to make a ( iPhone ) deal Looks like O2 is spinning that it has the iPhone deal in UK - hmmmm. The bidding from all the Euro operators must have been intense since they all saw the success of the US launch ( 700,000 units in a weekend would make any retail man's dream ). I am on Voda and can't be arsed changing, so come on Voda - get you act together and outbid the O2-ers, get Arun to give Steve J a call and write a large cheque - just sort it :-).

Now I wonder what the negotiations sound like with respect to the 3G downloading.

Apple: "Now if we have 3G downloading, we can have none of that napster music stuff on our phone"
o2: "But we HAVE to - it's our main music service..."
Apple" "Ok - fine - get us vodafone on the line..."
O2: "OK, OK - you got it - no Napster or any non Apple ITMS content"
Apple: "....and definitely non of that i-mode shite!"
O2: "But..."
Apple: "...ARUN..."
O2: "OK, FUCK SAKE - you guys drive a hard bargain.."
Apple: "..and we haven't even got to the billing rev share yet..."
O2: "Oh god!"

Ok, fuck it, I MAY change to O2 if they get it.....doh! 12:04:15 PM  comment []
