This Project for a new American century is interesting. I don't agree with it's conclusion, although judging by the election results... I can understand it. Shows how the US government has so utterly destroyed it's image internationally. Fear is being generated toward the US. Fear breeds hatred, and hatred violence. Violence like say... terrorism.
This democracy now broadcast is a must listen/watch.
We spend the hour with John Perkins, a former respected member of the international banking community. In his book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man he describes how as a highly paid professional, he helped the U.S. cheat poor countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars by lending them more money than they could possibly repay and then taking over their economies.
This nun has some very rational intelligent things to say about the way Christianity is being abused in the US.
Things like:
Why is it acceptable to kill pregnant mothers in Iraq? Isn't that abortion?
The pluralism of society versus funding of the church.
Pro-life versus "pro-birth".
The sermon on the mound... Remember the poor, in an INTERNATIONAL way.
