One thing that really ticks me off about concern about the environment. The effects of environmental destruction are so sublimated. You get sick in the winter, and say " oh well, everyone gets sick this time of year."
Do they now? Did they always? Maybe...maybe not.
It's too easy to say that there is no correlation. There has to be some accounting for all the toxics we produce, and the fact that the ecology is under ever greater increasing strain.
I had hoped, I was wrong about global warming. I was hoping that the scientists were wrong. I was hoping that we would do the right thing regarding energy.
Personally, I had always thought that the ozone depletion would be a greater blight. CFC's to my knowledge, have been mostly taken care of, thanks to things like the Montreal Protocol. However, the destruction does still continue at a lessened rate. Too bad the US didn't back the Kyoto protocol.
Every day they prove the scientists correct, and those who are wise enough to spy their lies.
