I've already figured out how to record a Podcast direct to the Pod using my TASCAM headset. In addition to sporting its own fairly decent microphone and not-so-decent speaker, the iTalk lets you plug in another mic, record, then play back through the built in speaker or your headphones without too much fussing around. All I need to do is swap plugs between recording and playback as if the iTalk was a little patch bay with only one hole. It's simple and sounds good. The recording is then automatically sucked up by iTunes from where I can do post production in Garage Band and Audacity. Not bad compared to the thousands of dollars worth of hardware and cables required to do this very same thing just a few years ago.
Expect to see a review and demonstration of all this in a Podcast soon.
Also, Keali`i Reichel sent the rest of his CDs so I now have all five plus one from Pali that I can't wait to play for you. We've been listening to them, some Hawaiian Christmas music on the radio, and a CD by the Seattle band "Pink Martini," which has been a hit with my wifer.

3:18:08 PM The term 'Mele Kalikimaka' is what happens when an English word is transliterated into Hawaiian without sufficient thought or warning. For all anyone knows 'mele kalikimaka' really means: 'hit Kevin in the ear with a spoon!' But we don't know because the Hawaiians won't tell us. So far though, Kevin is just fine.
