News from Maui: Salvation Army & Ah Fooks Burns Down! Ah Fook's Burns Down! We usually avoid echoing news, both about Maui and Macintosh, but if - like so many - you love the island or have been a resident you may be interested to know that the almost historic Ah Fook's Grocery and the Salvation Army Store at Kahului Shopping Center both burned down last Sunday. The fire wiped out the whole left side of the fifty-year old old shopping center. It was pretty dramatic to say the least. This involves changing, well, everything - which in my experience always causes something to fall off the shelf.
