Blogup!

Finally!

I can't believe it! After weeks of hacking, tweaking and emails, Radio UserLand and Pair Networks are finally talking story. (Well, at least if you're reading this they are.) It turns out that Radio has a serious l-a-a-g in reporting changes during which it lies about what's going on and puts up a message that everyone is dead and all the buildings destroyed. But, the real problem was a misplaced slash!

Now, all my hard-written blogs and podcasts should suddenly show up, perhaps fooling folks into thinking that I'm really being productive. Whatever it takes. At least I can now get back to making content instead of bitching about the technology and pretending that I have a clue what I'm doing.

NOTE: The support folks at Pair.com have been great, especially since I was doing something they hadn't had to deal with before. The support for Radio Userland was a little more "Community" based, but it was there. Well, what do you want for $39 a year?

Pen Fetish!

I just discovered a new pen!

PenI had some bodywork done on my wife's car this morning and the guy handed me his pen to write the check. After putting in the date, I stopped, looked admiringly at the pen, checked the tip and label, then noticed the guy's smile.

"Pretty neat pen huh?" he said recognising a fellow writing-tool addict. He told me they had appeared at Hopaco, our local excuse for a stationary store. When I left he said "take care brah," sealing a quiet bond between those of us who have high, yet completely meaningless standards.

Go look for a Uniball Gel Impact 1.0mm. It's a pretty neat FAT $2 ball point that writes 'like buddah!" I also stocked up with a pack of #1 pencils which are inexplicably difficult to find around here.

Trouble in PAIRadise

Shit!

I'm having real problems getting this blog and the podcast feed working on my new server at pair.com. Radio Userland, the suprisingly powerful, but often baffeling program I use to produce this seems to have an issue with their servers and so far no one has come up with any magic fo' fix da baggah.

The good news is that I'm operating my computer in Kula over the wireless at Starbucks in Kahului via the Radio Userland server on the mainland. Cool 'eh?

Please be patient while I chase the ducks down and hopefully get this boat back in the water.
