I have heard about different interaction software for the Mac. Various ways to launch applications or find your documents. So far I'm convinced that spotlight is it. Spotlight finds everything but my entourage items (still working on that) anywhere on the system. However, Quicksilver not only finds things like applications and web pages, photo's and music, but it let's you drag/drop, edit, open with, etc from the main display. I'll probably try it out for a bit and then trash it (just for simplicity) but it sure looks good and seems like a great idea. UPDATE: After about 20 minutes with Quicksilver and some web-search I have found that 1) Spotlight does not natively search Entourage (calendar, contacts, notes, etc) - no plug-in was readily available and 2) Quicksilver does. So as a test (after installing the Entourage plug-in to quicksilver and restarting the app) I hit control+space, type Sus for a friends name, chose to email her with an attachment, and sent the email. Hmmm ... cool. 10:57:12 PM comment [] |
