Hey there.  Today was a nice relaxing time spent witht the family.  We started off with a leisurely brunch followed up by a nice run near my cousin's house in Petaluma.  Later we went to see the movie Rent and then we were off to Berkeley.  We ate at the Circus Pub in Kensington circle.  I really enjoyed the Boddington Draft - a creamy, nitrogen shot, pale beer.  I felt very nostalgic today thinking about all the cool things I've heard about in the bay area recently.  Podshow, Dave Winer, R&R Geek, etc.

It's the holiday season.  This is the time of year when we sit back and think about all those friends and lovers that we have known.  Of course, you should think about this after your family is off to bed and you have spent plenty of time with them.

Over dinner I was recanting to my family some holidays spent while I was in the army and I have been thinking all day about this.  What ever happened to certain people that I would like to talk to or see again?   One person I lost touch with: Micah Locke.  Or Howard if you know him by first name.  What a cool and interesting guy.  I wonder what ever happened to him.  Hold on while I google him.  Okay, I'm back.  I couldn't find anything about my friend (not even on the army website) but I think I found his mom's address and phone number!  I think I'll call.  Have you ever really cared what was happening to a person and knew that they didn't want to hear from you?  I have that with two people at this point in my life.  One of them appears to be doing well and the other is still MIA.  I think contacting old friends will be my plan for the rest of the year.
