I'm almost finished with Farscape season 4 (I know I'm behind the times) and next up will be Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. I've been told that Battlestar Gallactica is the next Sci Fi I should be watching ... I might have to check it out.

Laurie, Bob, and I are driving up to S.F. tonight to make the marathon expo in time tomorrow morning. The Element is clean and ready to go. All we need is a little petrol and we'll make it. I have some Cpt. WAM tunes ready to go in the iPod as well as Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters :) I'm looking forward to another great race across the bridge!

Slashdot | Army to Require Trusted Platform Module in PCs
"Federal Computer Week is reporting that the US Army will require hardware-based security via the Trusted Platform Module standard in all new PCs. They are a large-enough volume buyer that this might kickstart an adoption loop."

27B Stroke 6
Kaiser Joins Lost Laptop Crowd Kaiser Permanente mailed letters this week to 160,000 of its Northern California-based HMO subscribers, informing them that a laptop containing their personal information, including their phone numbers and Kaiser numbers, had been stolen.

So how does a large organization lose 160,000 peoples information? Poor communication? Lack of training? Honestly, is there any reason for a laptop to contain that kind of data? I would store that on a server and use a vpn client to connect back to home base. Steal my laptop and all you get is MY credit card info.

Technorati seems to think that my last post was 108 days ago.  Technorati relies on a received ping which I have configured correctly in the Master Ping Tool.  Does this mean that the MPT is not sending correctly?  I might have to monitor outbound traffic and see if that is the case.

Technorati is awefully slow tonight ... I did a few searches and they all came up blank.  I even tried to click on one of the top searches "Israel" and it came up blank.  Wierd ...

I'm totally sold on the latest version of the Flock browser.  Their weblog support seems to be the only buggy part of my conversion experience.  I am a Radio Userland user and currently posting from Performancing For Flock because I can't get the flock account setup to work properly.  Hopefully the developers address this as the built in blog features look really great and the native inclusion is wonderful.
