Parallels has released the 3036 beta build of Desktop for Mac. This is a very interesting build because it adds boot camp support. What does that mean exactly? Well you can buld a boot camp machine (xp sp2) and then RUN that machine in parallels while in OS X or by rebooting to boot camp.

This was the original problem I had when I removed boot camp and used only parallels. Of course, I don't see how to make your current xp parallels instance become the boot camp install ... yet.
