Long weekends always promise so much when they are in the future, and they always are SO much less productive than I'd hoped once they're over.

Well, I'm not literally talking about the weekend. If I'm totally honest, it's me. I always think that three days is a lot of time. I can organize my computer room. I can read. Study. Macrame. Whatever.

Then Sunday night comes, and I think, What The Hell Did I Spend This Weekend On?

To be fair, there were some recent weekends that were not like this: I did nothing, and planned to do nothing. Mission accomplished.

Is the only way to enjoy Sunday night to lower my expectations when Friday rolls around? It's a new year, I'd like to work on this one.

Good news for those of us who go outside from time to time:

China and Venezuela to stop production of ozone-depleting CFCs in 2007. The latest move means that in several years there will no longer be any production on the globe of some of the most potent ozone-depleting substances, including CFCs, mainly used as refrigerants, and halons, which are fire extinguishing agents.
