Further thoughts on "Angie" and the CDU Last night, when talking about the use of the Rolling Stones' song Angie by the CDU, and the inappropriateness of the lyrics, Birgit and I came to the conclusion that either Angela Merkel's advisers are stupid or that this is a deliberate attempt at sabotage. If they didn't realise what the lyrics mean, then they are embarassingly stupid. It's hard to believe that somebody didn't realise that the song contains lyrics such as "All the dreams we held so close seemed to all go up in smoke". 8:37:56 PM    comment []  trackback []
