Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has a hybrid bird which they thing is a mixture between a heron and a egret. This is the fourth year it has shown up and has been the topic of conversation amongst birders.

Farmington, Utah has a annual eagle watching day. It is held at the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area. It is where the eagles spend the winter. The population peaks there in mid February and then they start going north for nesting the first part of March.
