Communique from Ministerial Council for VTE. The Ministerial Council for Vocational and Technical Education (MCVTE) held an extraordinary meeting in Sydney to consider the options for the next stages of training reform. This Communique confirms Ministers' ongoing commitment to building a national training system, which will meet the challenge of improving future productivity and workforce participation, through the development of workforce skills. Business and industry leadership of the national training system was reinforced by the meeting of Ministers with the National Industry Skills Committee, to discuss industry views on the proposed reform and to seek industry advice on future training priorities.
