OF course, I'm speaking of the illusions I face daily. I'd like to think that I enjoy being in good relations with others, but certian things bring that into doubt. It takes alot of faith to persevere in loving God, in praising God at all times. I see that most clearly when I am starting to get worried at work or trying to do too much too fast. Like today, thinking one way of a person , like the new hire , and being totally surprised that comes your way. I mean we can relate to other people if we want to. We can also put people on guard against us if we want to, the choice is ours.IP CL

LOTS OF POTS AND PANSMany people just wonder how I can do so many dishes daily? Well, it just goes to show you that washing dishes can be a chore. I mean they are just there and you have to do something with them. At Taco Bell we just can't let them sit in the sink and what is best of all when I think that I am falling behind then usually somebody comes along to help me. This makes the job much lighter. There is something about doing the mediocre, dull adn boring things day after day. It brings both the best and worst in you. I mean if you think that your self-worth depends just upon what you do, then that doesn't last long, since there are many peole who can duplicate even the best of our actions. On the other hand, we get more energy by giving ourselves to a task than by receiving something from it.Then there is the aspect of worthing together with others. This brings alot to your mind as you are up to your neck in dirty dishes. Sometimes I think of the Lord Jesus when he washed the disciples feet. Well, I hear it was a custom to do this in the Middle East. But think fo who it is that is washing them, the Only-Begotten of God Almighty. Now, even if we live a million years, we will never rise to a fraction fo the holiness that Jesus put into washing the feet of the Apostles. He really loved his Apostles. And I, do I love what I do in order to make it count even it it really doesn't count for much? I guess all of us deal with those kinds of attitudes? I mean, the Mother with her children, the teacher with his students, the senator with his public, the employee with employees; we could make a long list easily. It is all about bringing your best to the task at hand. More about that later, God permitting.IP CRL

Washing Dishes

Washing dishesWashing dishes all day longHow I love to make a fool Of the things which I feel so strong.IP CRL
