Bingo Firing

I went to open my kiln to day. The hand built flat vase came out very good. The colour was right on. I finally get it that I don't have to slave myself to one firing temperature. The bisque firing was sufficient to get the iron red colour that I need. I'm please that it came out. This is the problem with sculpture - multiple firing - too expensive to make.

I didn't get an explosion in my kiln this time with the tapioca in porcelain. The new firing ramp works out alright, but it used 36.6 kw rather than the usual 28 Kw. So it is more expensive to fire these little buggers.

I'm a bit sensitive to cost as I just got the electricity bill!
