Clay Wedgie

Some tests I've done for the first round

Various stains and glazes colour test on tin glaze - cone 8 on Earthstone orginal. There are a lot of chrome fuming. Most of the tiles are pink. I need to do seperate test again. It turned out there's chrome in the nut brown and the rose stains. The yellow orche is very refractory. The lime green is way too acidy.

Test for relief and sgraffito on Earthstone original. This will be dipped with tin glaze and then more painting decorations and over-print.

I was putting too much thoughts on what kind of forms to make. I decided to just make something aimlessly without much reference or sketching. It's much harder to make detail relief on a vertical surface. Again, Earthstone original clay.
