Amsterdam - Rookworst eet smakelijk

I took a few days off to Amsterdam to visit John Paul and Leon. It's been 5 years, I think, since I last went there. I was blessed with very fine weather when I was there. Meanwhile, London was grey and rainy.

Amsterdam is about 1 hour plane journey from Heathrow. The plane took off and after I washed down a dry cheese sandwich with a miniature orange juice [it's called a cold meal], the plane is landing already. A short subway ride took me to Amsterdam Centraal Station.

Amsterdam looks the same as when I was there 5 years ago, and so are John and Leon. Nana anche e' molto gentile.

Amsterdam, as always, is full of canals and psychos. The most momerable things for me are the red meat; rookworst; rare thin roast beef; filletamerican; and this osso something sausage, which is just another form of rare red meat. I also learnt about sea salt bursts in salads and fondue; cheese filled worst in a tin as mid-night snacks.
