Petraeus Now Admits to Rise in Iraq Violence. Alexandra Zavis reported in the Los Angeles Times that General David Petraeus admitted that violence in Iraq has increased, contradicting his testimony before Congress earlier this month when he said that attacks between Sunni and Shiite factions fell dramatically since George W.
