Lion in the Valley
I enjoy listening to books on my MP3 player when I walk. I tend to pick "light" reading for this type of activity, so I don't have to worry about losing track of the plot if my mind wanders, or if a pack of loud vehicles roars past me. I just finished Lion in the Valley by Elizabeth Peters. It is the 4th book in her Amelia Peabody series, which follows Amelia Peabody on her Egyptian digs. In this particular book, she has to figure out who murdered a count and tried to frame a pair of young people in the murder. As always, her son Ramses gets into remarkable scrapes. It is light, fun, and interesting.

Tweak Now
Changing things in the registry is not for the faint of heart, but with Tweak Now it can be less frightening. From LifeHacker: "Windows utility TweakNow puts a friendly interface on the most common registry settings on your PC, complete with an Undo button. Tweak your Start menu, Control Panel, Desktop, user accounts, and other settings using TweakNow, which shields you from the decidedly not-fun and risky undertaking that is editing the registry by hand. This looks particularly useful for locking down a PC for the kids—for instance, you can use it to disable access to the Control Panel and desktop context menus. TweakNow is a free download for non-commercial use, Windows only."
