Book Reviews from 'Get Your Paws on a Good Book' participants
Ball Don't Lie by Matt de la Pena: My daughter, an avid ball player since 3rd grade and now at Bunker and also this summer playing the 10-11 grade level for the Muskegon Lady Magic of the American Youth Basketball Tour, loved this book. Although, unfortunately, she is not yet an avid reader, I have been able to find young adult books for her about basketball and she has read 2 this summer.
The Regime: Evil Advances: before they were left behind by Tim LaHaye: If you enjoyed the Left Behind Series, this book helps the story to continue, but from the beginning. Read 'The Rising' first and then see how the characters take their place before being left behind.
Whatever Happened to Janie by Caroline Cooney: This is the 2nd book in a series of 4. This book continues where the first left off. Janie has to go back to her biological family. She and her sister and brothers have a hard time adjusting to having her back.
The Least Likely Bride by Jane Feather: Tom-boyish woman meets a man and falls in love. It is exciting and entertaining. Very excellent.
