Summer Reading Book Reviews
Sounder by William Armstrong: I thought Sounder was an incredible book about family bonds. It is amazing to me how bad African American people were treated. I enjoy reading the Classics.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen: A classic.
Matter by Iain Banks: Great!
Nick of Time by Ted Bell: More for youth--average plot--a cut above average.
Templar Legacy by Steve Berry: I was disappointed to find that it was an abridgement and so it was shortened :( I like lots of details in my books.
East Coast Australia: a classic overland route by Lindsay Brown: Lonely Planet zeros in on the East Coast region of Australia. The book is filled with maps, facts, and information to prepare for a vacation along the beautiful East Coast of Australia.
Where are you now? by Mary Higgins Clark: This book is a great mystery with, of course, a surprise ending. I love to try to figure out "whodunit." And even with the surprise, I get part of it!
