Book Reviews from participants in the Pollinate Your Mind Summer Reading Club
Too little too late by Victoria Christopher Murray: Jasmine Larson is a character from Victoria's other two novels, "Temptation" and "A sin and a shame", she returns in this book "Too Little, Too Late", as the same untrustworthy, conniving liar, who will cross anyone to get what she wants, only in this novel playing the Christian role.
Thong on Fire by Noire: This urban erotic book was hot main character made me angry throughout the book but I kept reading hoping for a happy ending for her which never happened by the two characters who did deserve it got one in the end.
Gravedigger's Daughter by Joyce Carol Oates: I found this book very course, gritty even, in language and in content. However cleverly disguised it may seem, the story is still a Cinderella story, rags to riches -a "Pretty Woman" story if you will. Secrets can destroy a person in real life as in this book. It may have been written by a famous, well known writer-a person of unlimited language and writing skills-I feel her talent, her gift, was wasted in writing this book. Did the author make me feel human emotions? Of course-well then maybe she feels she did her job. The author has a gift with the written word. I hope she will put it to better use in writing her next book/novel. I would not recommend this book.
6th Target by James Patterson: It was an awesome crime story.
The Quickie by James Patterson: This book reminds me of Patterson's early books-keeps you interested and wondering.
Born in Shame by Nora Roberts: Great.
