Book Reviews from participants in the Pollinate Your Mind Summer Reading Club Secret passion of Simon Blackwell by Samantha Jones: Must read, page-turner. Couldn't put it down. Home to Holly Springs by Jan Karon: Made me think of eating watermelon on my grandma's back porch when I was five. It blessed me with it's message of God's grace and broke me with it's story of things that will never be fully resolved on this earth. Out-of-sync Child has fun by Carol Kranowitz: Lot's of great ideas for kids with sensory issues. Always Grace by Tim LaHaye: very enjoyable light reading. Shadow Touch by Marjorie Liu: will go on my list of authors to keep track of to see when a new book is out!! Cure for the common life by Max Lucado: Lucado always has a way of penning a book that draws you in and allows you to associate yourself with others like you. He uses a number of stories from individual's lives to give you the feeling that you are not alone,but you are very unique in your own way. In this book he encourages the reader to find their "sweet spot" and to do their best there in order to be a witness for God as well as be the most productive. Son of a witch by Gregory Maguire: Ick-gave up after the 2nd cd. Slow going, dark, depressive--disappointing. Delicious by Susan Mallery: A full meal! Miracle at Speedy Motors by Alexander McCall Smith: I really enjoy this series. The characters are colorful and entertaining and the storylines are engaging. Weekend Warriors by Fern Michaels: Enjoyed it very much, can't wait to read the next one. Need to find out how they are going to deal with the D. A. 2:39:44 PM
