Mr. Rapoport is a published author who worte "Hillsdale, Greek Tragedy in America's Heartland", and "After the Death of a Salesman : Business Trips to Hell", and over 20 other nonfiction titles. He is a former reporter for the San Jose Mercury-News, the San Francisco Chronicle, and other newspapers and his work has been published in many collections, magazines, and other publications. Surfing the Internet is an introduction to the Internet. Find out what the Internet is; learn how to find things on the Internet, and how to set up an email account. It is highly advisable that attendees know how to use a mouse. The class is free to the public. Class size is limited, however. Please call ahead to register (231-722-7276). The class will be held at Hackley Public Library. An instructor from M-Tec will lead the class. Two identical sessions are available: Tuesday evening January 31 from 6:30 to 7:45 pm Wednesday morning February 1 from 8:00 to 9:30 am. 11:23:16 AM     Beginning Genealogy Dawn Kelley, from the Muskegon Genealogical Society, will be at Hackley Public Library on February 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm to talk about how to start researching your family with a special emphasis on doing African American Genealogy. Ms. Kelley is a volunteer Genealogist at Hackley Public Library and has been helping people get started in this fun hobby for many years. She will have handouts that help beginners start the research process. This is a free program, but seating is limited to 20 people.
