Kids can meet this famous hound who creates original paintings with his tail. They’ll hear the true story of his rescue and see him at work. Form your own two person Spelling Team and join HPL’s Spelling Bee. Teams must have one child and one adult. The grownup can be a family member or an adult friend. Kids will spell words from 4th & 5th grade MPS textbooks. Adults will spell high school level words. A few surprise words will come from National Spelling Bee lists. Children should be 13 or younger. Enter Write for Fright!, HPL’s scary story contest. Anyone in grades K-6 can join. Bring your stories and poems to the Library by October 31. Each year the scariest stories are printed in a Write fro Fright! Book and distributed through schools and libraries.
