Men tend to be more generous when it comes to divorce and dividing the spoils.
New research from Yorkshire Building Society shows that out of 24 typical items, from the house to the family pet, men wanted their ex to keep 19, while women wanted their ex to keep eight.
Men are prepared to give up the bed, TV, wedding album, antiques, lawn mower, art, sofa, Playstation, Christmas decorations, garden accessories, toaster, Monopoly board, coffee machine, house plants, consumable contents of kitchen, pots, pans and cutlery, wine collection, other drinks collections, and the cat or dog.
Unsurprisingly, they wanted to keep the house and the car, plus the laptop, digital camera and the CD, DVD or record collection.
