"It's a cultural phenomenon." So says Dave Winer about the Gillmor Gang.
Although they get into some pretty heavy tech talk, it's worth
listening because Steve (Gillmor) always brings it back to "What's this
going to do for the user." The best part of this particular podcast
is the idea that in the near future, it's entirely feasible that
Microsoft Office will be completely unnecessary. With email web
applications getting more robust and word processing rendered nearly
useless by electronic publishing, there's hardly a need for the big
suite. If we reduced attachments by 1/2, would we have some more time?
