A group of computer consultants talking about installing Windows XP on Macs or even on PC's decided that Explorer should be used only to contact the Microsoft update page as a start up page. Any other web browsing should be done with Firefox due to the virus and pop-ups that are targeting Explorers weaknesses. It's a simple but easy way to lessen your chances of picking up a virus or bug. Please do keep in mind when you are in Windows and on the net some type of Windows anti Virus software should be used and updated regularly Bad things can happen if you are treading in the windows world with no protection.
