It's been a long run for PMUG in the Galleria we have been there 20 years; but all that will come to an end on June 30th. That is when PMUG's lease ends and we need to be out of the office on that day. After that, PMUG will need to suspend classes and Tuesday night sessions until we can find somewhere else to hold them. Anyone who is willing to help us move the items from the office to a storage area over the last two weekends in June please email me charles@pmug.org and I will let you know days and times. If you have a truck to help move things, that would be a great help.
Do you, or someone you know, want a 400MHz iMac running OS 10.4? PMUG will be selling all our classroom iMacs. Also, all items in the store will be on sale; so come on in and pick up cables, keyboards or mice. The less we have to put in storage the better!
Anyone who has an idea about space we can use for three hours on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings let us know. PMUG needs meeting space for about 18 people, and a blank wall to use as a projector screen. We can bring a projector. So if you know some place that would be willing to host us, let us know.
If any of you are thinking the Galleria is bad for not renewing our lease, let it go. We have been lucky to have such a central location, and will miss calling this place home. For many years they have leased us space for below the market average price. Things have finally turned around and the space is being updated with new HVAC and full walls. They are a business, like any other, in search of profit and expansion.
