I read most of the book and found interesting details and Dan Brown as the bravest author placing them all together in such a magnificent book and now a thriller movie.
|
I asked some of my Christian friends that went to see the movie their impressions. There were other more reluctant and sensitive not to even see such a movie that presents their savior as a married man to Mary Magdalene.
To the first one I asked… Now what? What are you going to do with all this important information? |
DaVinci hide Mary Magdalene in his paint, and people can not see it, because you see what you are teached to see, not what is there. Even the "V" shape has a meaning.
|
"This is just fiction I still believe in the Trinity and my savior as a divine being", the first one answered, a well educated woman that reads a lot of books. The other one was disappointed that the movie ends with an apologetic end, trying to calm the Church.
The other one, who have not read the book or seeing the movie, give us no space; she just jumped from her seat and presented her point that the movie and the book was a profanation to even think that Jesus married Mary Magdalene.
I asked her, "Was Jesus a Jew? She says "yes". I answered: Do you know it is a very bad thing for a Jewish man and woman not to be married? She answered like any other dogmatized Christian, "He came for a mission, and as such can not get married".
So Moses, the one that talked directly to God and receive the Torah, did he was married? What about Adam, did he was married? What about David? Should we mention Salomon?
Definite the puritan church is presenting another god-man, totally different from the Creator plan when designed the human race and gave us the first and most beautiful commandment, get married and procreate! Why this entire buzz about marriage as a sinful act? Is that maybe the reason priests does not get married?
Why is so hard for most of the people to observe and to expand their minds to free thinking without thinking is a sinful act? Is the dogma? It really amazed me more when the truth (or at least another perspective) is presented and they feel attacked. Does God need them to be defended? Does God can not defend Himself? Why all this buzz?
Is Da Vinci Code attacking the foundation of the Church? Or is that there is NOT a valid foundation at all? Think about and let us know.
