Well here we are 5 years later... No terrorist attacks today like everyone tried to predict. I can't beleive how much the american people seem to have forgotten what happened 5 years ago. The latest poll I've seen shows 41% disapproval of the presidents job and 30% want to impeach him. No valid charges for impeachment though so it won't happen. Additionally if you want to bring up a christian event you can't call it that, but you can read the Koran in school...
Our previous president actually committed crimes, adultry and perjury to be specific. Yes they are Crimes under US code, and I had a friend in the Army that was busted 2 grades for adultry at the same time the Lewinski scandal was going on. I think the president should be held to at least the same standard every other government employee to include the soldiers are held to.
What has President Bush done?
- Lied about going to War? FALSE he presented the same intelligence he was given, an intelligence failure maybe not a lie. Oh and by the way there were WMDs found, just not in abundance.
- Wrecked the economy? FALSE the economy was already starting to crash when he took over. 9/11 speed that process up, but we have mostly recovered. My industry was slow to enter this last recession but it has even largly recovered.
- Been lax on controlling the border? TRUE. Yes I will agree there we could have done a lot more to secure our borders and protect the American citizens from our illegal immigration problem. But the other party would have been worse.
I could go on forever on this but I'm going to stop now so I don't end up ranting. Everyone say a prayer for the victims and their familys today, and remember what started this war and why we must finish it.
