Exhibit room - Seasonal Changes
Mammals, bugs and birds are unique in their ability to survive our climate. Our current exhibit, Seasonal Changes, explains how local wildlife adapts to seasonal changes.
The exhibit features a larger-than-life model of a ground squirrel's tunnel and a bat cave and includes self-guiding activities. For families with children aged three to 11.
Live Wildlife Exhibits
Small wildlife such as salamanders, garter snakes, frogs and toads are on display in the exhibit room.
Honeybee Hive
Watch bees, busy at work, at our indoor/outdoor working beehive exhibit.
Prairie Pond
Examine pond life up close and personal with our newly redesigned pond. This water oasis also attracts ducks, blackbirds and frogs in the spring and summer.
Backyard Compost Education Centre
This outdoor exhibit demonstrates how you can incorporate composting into your waste disposal routine. Learn the composting process and sample composting units designed for large and small yards.
Nature Walks
Enjoy a self-guided hike on four kilometres of interpretive nature trails through some of the most interesting river valley scenery in Edmonton.
