Now American Heart Association lying?

According to Karl Loren's "The Monday Letter" Carl says that for years the American Heart Association has claimed the death rate from heart disease was declining because of the wonderful drugs and surgery recommended by the AHA over the past years. If those stats were proven false this would validate much of what Karl Loren has been claiming for years.

Here's The Claim

Significant declines (in death from heart disease) are recorded for total cardiovascular disease mortality as well as specific cardiovascular diseases over the last few decades. Male mortality fell by over 60% in Japan, and by 50% or so in Australia, Canada, France and the United States. A similar pattern is seen for females.

During it's annual meeting in 1996 they elected Dr. Breslow as the President of the AHA Here's his statement from New Orleans-Americans have been seriously misled into thinking that heart disease is on the decline, the new president of the American Heart Association charged.

Deaths from heart disease haven't dropped nearly as much as health officials have claimed and the prevalence of the disease actually may be increasing, asserted President Jan L. Breslow, a Rockefeller University researcher, at the heart group's annual meeting.

Now there is a new Search Engine called cranky.com that brings fewer but more concise results. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
