Do you know which is the one thing without which your business
cannot survive? Yes, it is traffic. No matter how fancy-looking your
site is, or how good your product is, if no one knows about or visits
your site then your site is as good as dead. Traffic is the one and
only thing that keeps a site alive and kicking. In this article, I will
discuss three free and powerful ways to generate traffic to your site.
Now, of course, there is paid advertising and there is free
advertising. With paid advertising, you will make money quicker than
with free methods. Someone rightly told me once that you need to spend
money to make money. But let's face it: most people working online
don't have the necessary resources to spend thousands of dollars in
advertising every month. So they look for low cost or cheap ways to get
traffic. If you are one of them don't be disappointed. Below I will
enumerate three of my favorite traffic generation methods.
1. Forum Posting: I regularly visit and post in online forums. Forums
are really an excellent place to start networking and building
communities. If you have a quality product to offer and if you target
the right group of people, they will be attracted to your offer. Of
course, to attract people, you should post helpful messages in forums,
and even more importantly, you should post regularly. Show your
expertise in your niche and in no time you will be able to create a
group of your own followers. Last but not the least; you should have a
compelling signature line to get the maximum amount of clicks.
2. Newsletter: Another way to get free traffic is through your own
newsletter. If you not publishing a regular newsletter yet, start one
now! Your newsletter doesn't need to be some Pulitzer Prize winner.
Just offer good articles and great product offers to your readers. If
people are interested in what you offer in your newsletters, they will
not only read it regularly, they will also recommend it to others which
will get you more subscribers and more free traffic.
3. Article Writing: Writing articles is another way to get free
traffic. Article marketing or bum marketing is an old and free traffic
generation method that webmasters have been using for years, and
surprisingly enough, it still works! How it works is that: you offer
quality tips and helpful advice to your readers in your article, and
then have a link to your site or newsletter opt-in page in your
resource box. If people find your article interesting, they will visit
your site and sign up for your newsletter and chances are that, they
will buy whatever you have to offer them!
Now, there are two ways you can market articles. One is by submitting
your article to high traffic article directories and another by posting
the articles on your own blog. I actually do both and have been quite

marketing are the three traffic generation methods I use to generate
