Today is a travel day for Coyote Gulch. We're heading down the two-lane blacktop for some r&r. Our destination is devoid of power lines and hotels with broadband so we do not anticipate posting again until Monday May 14th. We'll see you then if the artificial joints hold up and we make it out of the back country for the ride back to Denver.

From email from the Bureau of Reclamation (Kara Lamb): "If you're interested in what releases from Ruedi Reservoir to the Fryingpan River will look like this spring, then Thursday, May 17 needs to be on your calendar. On that day, Reclamation will host its annual Ruedi Reservoir operations meeting. The May 17 meeting will be held at the Basalt Town Hall, 101 Midland Avenue, Basalt, from 7:00--9:00 p.m. The primary focus of the meeting will be on Ruedi Reservoir's operations over the past water year (2006) and projected operations for the current water year (2007). We will also provide a brief summary of potential water projects currently being reviewed under the National Environmental Policy Act. As always, the meeting will conclude with a public question and answer session."
