Nancy and Albert in Seattle
Albert is up and internet running today thanks to an Ethernet cable. I'll be more prepared next time!
I've been in Seattle all week doing Slingerland Institute stuff getting ready for the Board meeting tomorrow.
The Faculty Senate met yesterday and today. I gave my Finances 101 presentation yesterday. It turned out really good---all about a non-profit organization being part Volunnteer and part Business. They previously had little, if any, understanding of the Institute as a business.
This evening I'm feeling as if I'm getting my life back---there is a life other than the Slingerland Institute. Monday it's back to working on the Stock Market Game grant proposal letter and starting Week Six of Grammar Dog. I'm excited about it.
However, tomorrow I'd better enjoy the last bit of green grass, blooming trees and bright sun before I head back to six weeks of muddy, windy, dusty, trashy Anchorage until the leaves come out on the trees on Mother's day weekend!
